| 回顾了1984—2000年成都大熊猫繁育研究基地规
划建设的艰难和曲折的历史过程，反映了当时动物园和野生动
物保护工作者的远见卓识和坚忍不拔的工作精神，住房和城乡
建设部首先提议中国动物园协会海内外筹款，地方政府大力推
进，在各方的努力下，最终使成都大熊猫繁育研究基地得以建
成，并成为中国历史上第一个人工大熊猫种群成功的典范，获
得联合国环境署授予“环球500佳”的殊荣。为大熊猫保护和
繁育作出重要贡献。 |

| Decision Making of the Planning and Constructionof Chengdu Research Base of Giant PandaBreeding |

| Abstract: |
| This paper reviews the difficult and tortuous historical
process of the planning and construction of Chengdu Research Base
of Giant Panda Breeding from 1984 to 2000, reflecting the vision
and perseverance of the zoo and wildlife protection workers at that
time. Ministry of Construction (now Ministry of Housing and Urban-
Rural Development) proposed that China Zoo Association could
raise funds in China and from abroad, and the local government
promoted this funding plan vigorously. Finally, Chengdu Research
Base of Giant Panda Breeding was built with the great efforts from
all parties, and it became the first successful model of artificial giant
panda population in the history of China. It was awarded the honor of
"Global 500 Best" by the United Nations Environment Programme.
This achievement made important contributions to the conservation
and breeding of giant pandas. |
