Abstract: |
In the context of the normalization of epidemic
prevention and control, understanding residents' willingness to travel
to urban comprehensive parks is conducive to the rationalization
of park management and operation. Based on the event intensity
perception of event system theory and planned behavior theory, a
structural equation model is constructed with risk propagation as the
moderating variable to explore the mechanisms affecting residents'
willingness to travel to parks. The results show that: 1) In the
perception of the intensity of the COVID-19 pandemic, residents'
novelty perceptions could not influence park travel intentions and
can negatively influence park travel attitudes. Both disruption and
critical perceptions could positively influence park travel intentions
and attitudes; 2) Residents' attitudes toward park travel, subjective
norms, and perceived behavioral control all positively influence
residents' willingness to travel to parks; 3) Attitudes mediate the
two pathways by which novelty and criticality perceptions affect
willingness to travel to the park respectively; 4) Risk communication
plays a negative moderating role in both the paths of "attitude →
willingness to travel" and "subjective norm → willingness to travel".
