Abstract: |
Gelsemium sempervirens is an evergreen woody vine
with golden color and strong sweet smell, which is deeply loved
by people. The impact of the flower fragrance of G. sempervirens
on human physiological and mental health is explored, in order to
provide reference for scientific application in urban landscaping.
Dynamic headspace bagging method and GC-MS technology were
used to collect and detect the volatiles of the flower fragrance of
G. sempervirens in three time periods of a day, and then the human
smell experiment was carried out. EEG and other physiological
indexes combined with psychological scale were used to obtain
intuitive physiological response and self-evaluation changes. A total
of 31 kinds of floral volatiles were detected, including 22 kinds in
the morning (9:00-9:30), 20 kinds in the afternoon (13:00-13:30),
and 20 kinds in the evening (18:00-18:30). Results show that:
smelling G. sempervirens can effectively alleviate people's anxiety,
improve people's attention level, and regulate blood pressure.
There are diurnal variation differences, duration differences, and
gender differences in the aroma benefits of the volatiles from
G. sempervirens. The diurnal variation differences in the aroma
benefits may be related to the diurnal variation differences in the
release of volatiles. |
