Abstract: |
The 9+2 city agglomeration of the Guangdong-
Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is one of the most open
and economically vigorous regions in China. It is anecological
civilization construction area characterized by the concept of
ecological priority and green development, the construction of the
beautiful Bay Area, and focusing on improving the environmental
quality. Zhuhai is located at the most typical estuarine area of the
Pearl River in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay
Area. The most fast-developing and extensive estuarine wetlands in
the western part of Zhuhai were selected as the research objectives
to comprehensively analyze the landscape plants by their features
of ornament, salt tolerance, wind resistance, inundation tolerance,
drought tolerance and pollution resistance. Combined with the
investigation of landscape plant species and site conditions in
typical estuarine wetlands, the factors influencing estuarine wetland
plants were quantified and evaluated. The principal component
analysis (PCA) was used to comprehensively evaluate the
suitability and ornamental value of wetland landscape plants in the
region at present, propose suitable landscape plants for estuarine
environment, and provide technical support for the selection of
landscape plants in estuarine wetland regions. |
