Urban Ecological Space Performance under theValue Orientation of Ecological Civilization |

Abstract: |
Adhering to the evaluation hierarchy of "philosophy
as the foundation, scientific theory as the basis, and technology
as the means", this paper turns to an ecological value cognition
paradigm for the coexistence of intrinsic and extrinsic values of
nature by taking natural ethics as the philosophical foundation
under the value orientation of ecological civilization. The
connotation of urban ecological space performance is analyzed
with ecological theory as the scientific basis, and the system for
evaluating urban ecological space performance is constructed, as
well as the internal and external performance coordination model
and the performance development intensity model. Furthermore,
the spatial representation of quantitative results is achieved with
the support of GIS technology. The exemplifications show that the
proposed method can obtain the quantitative structural features and
spatiotemporal variation characteristics of urban ecological space
performance and coordination; can identify the efficient ecological
spatial patterns and locate the inefficient spaces; and allows more
comprehensive understanding of the quality of urban ecological
spaces regarding quantitative and spatial distributions, thereby
assisting in the estimation of urban development trends. While
providing a new perspective for urban evaluation, this study also
offers a renewable and visual method for the quality supervision
and monitoring of urban ecological spaces. |
